Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
1. Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and comply with accounting standards and regulations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
1. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and receipt of funds.
2. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
General Ledger Maintenance
1. Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Perform account reconciliations and journal entries as needed.
Compliance and Audits
1. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
2. Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Financial Analysis
1. Perform financial analysis and provide insights to management.
2. Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
5. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Desirable Qualifications
1. Experience with financial planning and analysis.
2. Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting.
3. Certification in financial management (e.g., CFM).
