We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chinese translator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating written and spoken language from Chinese to English and vice versa, as well as interpreting for meetings and events. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Chinese culture and customs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
*Responsibilities:*
– Translate documents, websites, and audio/video files from Chinese to English and vice versa
– Interpret for meetings, conferences, and other events
– Proofread and edit translations for accuracy and cultural relevance
– Collaborate with clients to understand context and preferences
– Stay up-to-date with industry-specific terminology and cultural nuances
– Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
– Work with translation software and tools
*Requirements:*
– Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, or other dialects) and English
– Strong understanding of Chinese culture and customs
– Excellent communication and writing skills
– Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
– Knowledge of industry-specific terminology (e.g., legal, medical, technical)
– Bachelors Degree in Linguistics, language studies, or Business related
– Familiarity with translation software and tools
